This is the last full moon before the Chinese New Year of the Dragon (special post on this coming soon!). There are a few interesting things in it: #1, it’s a time to wrap things up and #2, its got change written all over it.
This full moon at 18 degrees of Cancer is exactly conjunct transiting Draconic Uranus. It’s what I call meaningful change with a twist.
What a fabulous opportunity to kiss goodbye anything you’ve been ‘tolerating’ and put your energy into things that make you smile. Period. 2012 is the year to really go for what you want. Start now. Make it big. Make it sing!

FULL MOON @18 Cancer
Jan 8 – 9
L.A. – Sunday – 23:30
NEW YORK – Monday – 02:30
LONDON – Monday – 07:30
SYDNEY – Monday – 18:30
ARIES: Full moon is time to bring things into fruition and get ready to consolidate. With your ruler Mars going Rx this month, you want to tidy up loose ends and check and recheck all project directives. What needs tidying in the home? Repairs? De-clutter, inside and out.
TAURUS: Communication with others, especially those you see on a daily basis, has the focus now. There is a surprise there! Suddenly people are saying things that shock or give you instant clarity on what step to take next. If you have anything to pitch, the force is with you!
GEMINI: Any contrasting views around money or shared resources over the last few weeks will resolve in a snap. Either there is agreement or banishment, but there’s smoother sailing ahead. Allow feelings out. Hidden in the depths emerges a new talent or skill. Developed it!
CANCER: Your full moon of the year brings a change of heart. Whatever it is you’ve been brooding over, ZAP! Lightning strikes and the muddy sky clears. You go through a mini-identity crises which leads to authentic growth. You feel right when you own your power.
LEO: Whatever focus you’ve had on your daily work and ritual, time to rein it in and do some soul searching. Venture more deeply into the realm of your dreams, the language of synchronicity and the power of myth. Spend some quiet time on your own. Muse!
VIRGO: What’s going on with the inner circle? Your friends and associates want you to step up! Could be leadership opportunity and a chance to redirect goals, or even an organization, towards greater functionality, greater ‘good’. Set shyness aside and raise your hand.
LIBRA: It’s more than focus on your career, mission, profession: it’s your life’s work. Tune into what you want and own it. You’ll get the notice and attention you need to take the next step. Think big, creative and productive. There is always more room at the top.
SCORPIO: Large issues are at stake. You want to see the bigger picture, beyond cultural and social boundaries and into the realm of authenticity and truth. This is a time to explore your beliefs and attitudes. Ask what is serving you, and what could serve you better.
SAGITTARIUS: The attention turns away from personal security towards joint resources and shared intimacy. How are you connecting? Sharing? Co-creating? Is it feeling in alignment with your goals and core values? Insights now can lead to creative change!
CAPRICORN: The full moon in your house of personal, socially significant one-to-one relationships spotlights how you balance your needs with others. The key word is balance. It’s a teeter-totter so observe what’s up or down. Harmony is your goal!
AQUARIUS: This full moon demands you assess your health and daily care of the body. Really look at what you eat, drink and do with the physical ‘you.’ The opportunity for clarity around any long-term complaint is there. Eyes open. With insight comes the cure.
PISCES: The light shines on your individuality, creative expression and the inner child at heart. Tune into to your sense of joy, play and romantic longings, and bring those aspects out into the world. Assess if you have time for fun. If not, why not? Seriously!
Have a wonderful FULL MOON !

very apt description….meaningful change with a twist…..just requoted you on my post on Mystic’s sight.
Liked interacting with you there. Have been stopping by to read your insights.
formerly Fushia Fairy? Great to see you here! Glad you stopped by.
The Cap sun is in my 5th house too, Moon in 11 conjunct natal South Node!
This full moon is in my 12th. And pretty much coincides with finishing up something that’s been my intellectual and emotional reality for the past 4 or so years. Or 7 really, nicely coinciding with the time from Saturn return to Saturn square Saturn. Although I can see the light those last few steps/days/ 000s words are hard work to squeeze out.
Exciting that it’s the beginning of an end and thus also the beginning of a beginning, but tough getting through then end part of it. Would love to be able to take a break to process, but will have to use the work to do the processing instead. Deep breathe.
Love your work Kim!
Thanks, Michelle. Do you meditate? That’s a beautifully passive way to process in the thick of it when there really isn’t time to nut things out consciously.
Also, EFT. Five minutes of ‘tapping’ is like an hour psychotherapy session! Lots of release. Try Brad Yates, Tap o’ the Morning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoSzivsQkVI He’s dreamy!
Thanks Kim!
Never really got meditation, and the tinnitus doesn’t help, but you’re right, Brad’s lovely.
My ‘processing’ most involves talking to the cat and staring vaguely at trees. Luckily I have both at hand!
