Jupiter in the sign of the twins for the next twelve months equates with the blossoming of the mind. Kimmy! I reconnected with – home – yesterday after 22 years! I lost my parents 22 years ago and had to move from my hometown to live with a relative. Thanks for the reminder about the carbohydrates..have continued with the wonderful eating habits I started when Mars went retro in Virgo, but have added a good number of gluten free carbs. And was just thinking that I need to rev up my moderate exercise to keep the waist from expanding. And then, your words…..
Ahh, yes. I’ve been on a fabulous weight training program with the only carbs consisting of brown rice and sweet potato (yams). My plans for Jupiter is to expand my strength!

Hello Kim – well, I did go to the Byron Katie workshop in London yesterday which was absolutetely brilliant.The awareness that I felt expanding in particular in a “new” way was in seeing Katie doing The Work with other people that was really relevant to me(both excellent and hilarious!)and also to do with realising that all the few hundred people in that room were willing,able and honest enough to be there and do The Work. That was an inspiring eye opener. I thought I was in more of a minority and very happy to realise there are many more of us – I’m not doing this alone! (There’s “connection” I think).
My ascendant in 6 degrees Gemini (Cancer sun in 3rd house). I wonder what the impact will be when Jupiter is conjunctshortly? I’ve just made an album (I’m a musician/songwriter) so perhaps that will get some attention and expand my communication… I notice in my SR chart (birthday in under a month)that my natal Jupiter is conjunct my SR ascendant and vice-versa (double-whammy)so I’ll be really interested to see how it plays out. It seems I have a Jupiter-dominated year ahead! x

Am really liking the sound of Jupiter’s influence! Just a question, am just really learning my astro this year and transits confuse me a little, there seem to be many aspects to consider – so please bear with me if this seems a really silly question – but why do we look at the sun/rising sign in relation to Jupiter and not natal Jupiter sign in a transit?

Good question, Fiona. Actually, we look at everything. A thousand things . . . a million, but, to start with, it’s best to focus on one or two or three things at a time. This post is about transiting Jupiter, not specifically natal Jupiter, so we are tuning into where Jupiter in Gemini is in both the ‘solar’ chart (the chart with Sun on the Ascendant, so if you are an Aries, we make Aries rising or if you are Taurus, we make Taurus rising etc). If you read your sun sign, you will see where Jupiter is transiting for the next year in your ‘solar’ chart.
You can also read this as Jupiter in the house it’s going through in your Tropical (natal) chart, so if you are Sagittarius rising, it’s going through your 7th house (or 6th and 7th depending on the degree). If you are an Aries with Sag rising, you would think about Jupiter transiting your third (solar) house and your 7th natal house.
You CAN also read these scopes as your natal Jupiter by house, so if you have Jupiter in the 10th house in the natal chart, read the Pisces rave. Can you see how Pisces rising would be talking about Jupiter in the 10th (Gemini)? These scopes aren’t specifically about the natal Jupiter but you can get a feeling of what is naturally expanding for you all the time by checking your natal Ju by house.

Thanks Kim, I think I understand that better…sometimes the more I learn the more I realise how little I know! Am a bit confused on the natal Jupiter reading, didn’t really understand. I’m Pisces rising and natal Jupiter at 25º Cancer, last degrees of 4th house (not sure if should read 5th house which starts at 28º Cancer?)
