Astro-LOA Flash: Jupiter goes retrograde @16 Gemini (see times below) until Jan 13, 2013. The key word is ‘restore’. Look to where you have 16 Gemini in your chart – what house does that fall in – and think of the relationships, projects and adventures that express from this area of life. Anything you want to ‘happen’ in the outer world begins here, with a new thought or reflection. Go in!
Jupiter is the principle of expansion. It represents the energy that takes us to new, unexplored horizons and opens the doors to confidence and optimism, two major ingredients in living life fully and joyfully (Jupiter = Jove!).
JUPITER RETROGRADE @16 GEMINI Oct 4th
LA – Thursday – 05:19
NY – Thursday – 08:19
LON – Thursday – 13:19
SYD – Thursday – 22:19
How to get into alignment with this ‘restore’ energy?
1) Review Jupiter in Gemini from June 12, 2012 to June 26, 2013
Where’s your pot of gold?
Jupiter in the sign of the twins for the next twelve months equates with the blossoming of the mind. Rich with knowledge, synchronicity and meaning, thoughts expand, communication amplifies and more of what you think is written, spoken and translated. Jupiter makes things BIGGER and in Gemini that means information, connection, communication, commerce. Allow for spontaneous insight!
2) Review Manifesting Confidence with Jupiter Direct.
Jupiter as an astrological archetype is know as the ‘Greater Benefic‘ It’s the largest planet in our solar system and is symbolic of large scale experiences – big wins, big times, big love. You get the picture. He is optimistic, popular, expansive and generous. Some call him the ‘Cosmic Santa Clause’ (others reserve that title for Neptune) but all agree, Jupiter lifts our hopes, helps us aim high and shows us new horizons. But what’s really going on when we experience this energy is we begin to believe in ourselves. That’s what makes it happen!
3) Review the house where @16 Gemini is in your natal chart. (see tutorial and ask for help in the comments if you get stuck.)
The meanings of the houses are deep and rich with metaphorical and literal content but here is a quick list to get you started.
1st house – Appearance, personality traits, outlook on life
2nd house - $$$, resources, talents, peace of mind
3rd house – Teaching, learning, writing, talking, connecting
4th house – Home, family, ancestors, emotional ground
5th house – Creative expression, offspring (books/kids etc), romance
6th house – Health, pets, daily routine, magic
7th house – Socially significant relationships, contracts
8th house – Sex, death, taxes, shared resources, trust
9th house – New horizons, travel, beliefs, WWW
10th house – Career, mission, profession, public relations
11th house – Friends, goals for the future, groups
12th house – Unconscious, dreams, giving and receiving, meditative states
Note: The HOUSES are the pieces of pie, the sections of space divided into twelve 30 degree slices round which the zodiac spans. They represent areas of life, inner and outer, and symbolize the environment where an intention or drive (planet/sign) is acting out. The ruler on the house cups and the sign or signs contained in the house suggest the climate found in that environment.
Any planets residing in a given house or transiting there show us where the needs and drives are operating. We meet those planets, and the archetypal characters they symbolize, in that area of life.
Happy Jupiter Rx everyone! Internalize this energy and create a wellspring of Joy from within!
The power of the vibrations of confidence, commitment and belief . . . can turn dark horses into champions, long shots into heroes and underdogs into top dogs. -Jeannette Maw
Namaste!
Hmm…a little confusing for me, Kim. Retrograde Jupiter still operates through expansion? And the energy associated is “restore”? Gem is my 7th House, looking to wrap up a divorce nice and easy – wondering where the “restore” comes in, she asked somewhat apprehensively…not looking to get back with the ex. Would like to see Gemini “restored” with some exuberance though – new relationships or ? Thanks for your thoughts, and your vibrancy~ xo
You restore your own heart. You. Complete withing yourself. Not needing anyone to fulfill you. From that place of inner peace, you go out into the world, renewed!
I am loving this!! Add the fact that Saturn’s moving out of Libra (where I have SO MANY FREAKIN’ PLANETS!) and it already feels like a huge weight is being lifted. Ahhh……
I know! Saturn. I’ll be writing about that transition next week, and doing a call (which you’re going to be on too, remember) to talk more about this event. Jupiter’s rx in your first house, yes? Awesome!
so if i am having my jupiter return (15 gem) and it’s in the 12th (though 4 degrees off the ac so counted as rising? is that right?) what does this mean for me? besides getting fat… :/
Lol. Jupiter does expand things but it doesn’t have to be the waistline! Think of the four cardinal points (in the natural chart: Asc, IC, Desc, MC.) It’s like a once every 12 year makeover for you where you feel more confident, have boosted opportunities in career/creativity, get the home the way you really want it and feel lighter and more adventurous in relationships. Note: no mention of fat
Hmmm…Jupiter stationing in exact trine in 1st House to my Sun at 16 Libra in the 5th. Have exact Jupiter-Uranus conjunction at 27 Cancer in 3rd, zero Gemini rising. Whattaya think?
I’m more interested in what YOU guys think! Start with the first house. How is your image of yourself changing? Can you see yourself as more worthy, more confident? What doe that look like? Would you walk different? Dress different. Jupiter in the first is taking you there. Like I said to Maria, a once every 12 year makeover. Now that Jove is Rx, you go there in your mind, first, and then experience it.
What’s changing in your ‘outlook’ now?
Thanks Kimmy! I have Gemini Moon at 18 degrees in the 3rd house, along with Gemini Sun at 21 and Gemini Venus at 26 degrees.
So communication is where I need to focus.
Nice one. That’s right . . . your Moon is exact on my Mercury. For me it’s happening in the 10th and my career as a writer has gone to warp 9! The G forces is incredible! So what’s happening with your home? Good time to do major de-clutter and Feng Shui check!
Perfect, Kim. Thank you. <3
My pleasure, Terri. Thanks for dropping in!
Kim, Thank you again! I love learning more about what you teach. I do have questions:
-I have the description of the planets but not for the True Node. That planet is in Gemini at 7 degrees for me. What does that relate to?
-Gemini is in my 8th house so I assume I need to go within regarding sex, death, taxes, shared resources and trust. Ugh.. I don’t like the sounds of this especially the “death” area.
-Does death mean the end of something vs actual death?
Thank you!
The true node is not a planet but a point based on the moon. Kim has stuff on her site about it, it’s usually described as a future orienting position. Jupiter over it may be described as expanding ideals about that future.
And yes, 8th house death is usually more politely described as ‘transformation’ al la Pluto.
Awesome, Shell. I am leaning back with my feet up, smiling!
You deserve to put your feet up! I’m thankful I get to appreciate so much of your work, it feels only right to chip in. Plus you know, being a Gemini can’t much help having something to say
Kim, you have a great backup!!
Thanks Shell!!
Hi Alison. What Shell said!
Here is my page on the Nodes. I also find transits to the nodes tend to manifest as ‘people’. Someone of the Jupiter archetype? Generous, big energy, maybe famous? Be open to support coming from that direction. Here’s the link: The Nodes
Thanks Kim!! I need the support. I hope I can spot them!!
Alison, your true node is on Episilon Tauri, the astrologer’s star. The 8th house is also the house of “other people’s money”. Ever thought of a career in astrology? Just sayin…..
Thanks Grace. Unfortunately never thought of it. I am fascinated by their knowledge of astrology and I have enjoyed learning about it recently. Have tried to get people to let me do their charts to see if I can figure it out and this is very recent, Thanks to astro.com.. but no go.
I’m looking forward to Jupiter retroing back, I’ve got some unfinished business re happenings in June and July that hinted at things yet did not really consolidate. Neptune is tied into all of this for me unfortunately.
Neptune can be amazingly fortunate. Note what I said about some astrologers (me included) calling NEPTUNE the Cosmic Santa Clause! Jupiter and Neptune co-rule Pisces and were brothers in ancient myth. Could work out well if you give each god their due (be open to new possibilities with Jupiter and have faith in the unknown future with Neptune!)
Thanks for dropping in and hitting the comments. I really appreciated it.
Thanks, I shall claim my optimism about the Jupiter retro as a positive attitude to Neptune as well. That square has been fogging things up for quite a few years now though (my moon is in Pisces too, square Neptune in Sagg and sextile Jupiter in Taurus in 9th, so they are related in my chart too!)
)
The retro takes him back into my 10th, as that Neptune square finally moves on (I’m running small orbs on that thing
So, hopefully I’ll be able to recover the openess and excitement about these so important to me 10th house things that seemed to be very ephemeral the first time round.
So good to hear your writing is going gangbusters. Thanks for all your insight xxo
I have natal Jupiter in my first house, with a Yod of Neptune in the 8th and Pluto in the 6th. Transiting Jupiter is in my 3rd house beginning to conjunct my Sun on the 3rd house cusp at 7 Gemini, home of Episilon Tauri, the astrologer’s fixed star.
Am I excited? You bet!!!!!!!
Sorry, meant to say that Neptune and Pluto were pointing to natal Jupiter.
Oh I figured that. Wow! I like! 7 degrees is the turnaround point for Jupiter too (6′ Gem 20). Very exciting. It coincides with such a boost of spirits, and opportunities. Is your Mercury in Gem too?
How I wish! My Mercury is retrograde at 21-22 Taurus on the cusp of my 2nd house, in a nasty T-square opposite Neptune at 21-22 Scorpio in the 8th and both square Saturn in the 12th. How this has manifested in my life is that I think I am making perfect sense, and everyone around me says, huh? LOL The only time anyone can understand me is when Mercury goes retro!
Hi Kim! Well, 16 degrees Gemini is my natal Karma position, with Venus at 19 degrees, Juno at 12, Ceres at 8 and Ascendant 6. An educated guess….RELATIONSHIP! Yes, it is shouting at me loud and clear…Communication in relationship in particular, nurturing of self and others through communication, and reaping some of what I’ve sown over a long while..I hope. What’s extra interesting for me is that my lunar return on 3rd Oct has Jupiter exactly conjunct M.C at 16 degrees too. No wonder I keep feeling “yep, just HAVE to do this” re a very Saturnian (i.e karmic) relationship link. Affirming to see it reflected in the stars.xx
Gosh, Kim, I’m hoping I am learning something here
I believe 16 degrees Gemini is in my 3rd House – Teaching, learning, writing, talking, connecting.
Am I correct. or do I need to go back to read and look again? LOL
