The Singing Butler by Jack Vettriano

Weekend Astro-Flash: Venus opposite Saturn this weekend heats up Izar, the binary star on the loins of the Ploughman.

This coincides with productivity and strong desires, clarity through practical vision. But if work and pleasure are in conflict, take some time out to reassess. Ask how you can bring balance, peace and creativity to both.

It doesn’t have to be either/or, but it might mean changing the way you  think about work and play to combine the two. The concept of and/AND is not always firmly established in us as children. Think about how you were raised. What were some of the beliefs around work, earning a living vs. goofing off, having fun? Different activities? Mine sure were! But working hard because we think we ‘should’ or ‘have to’ isn’t an expression of our true creativity, our true core values. It’s not the path to wholeness.

Deepak Chopra puts it like this: Work is creative when it satisfies the deepest creative center in a person. With Venus opposite Saturn we have the perfect ‘channel’ for this discovery. Ask what your really want and what makes you really smile. Think And/and, not either/or. Work and pleasure. Play and abundance. It all begins with knowing your core values and living them out in everything you do.

Who loves their work and play life equally? If not, what steps can you take to make them dance? Thoughts?

Have a great weekend everyone!
