The Weekend Astro-LOA Flash highlights Neptune turning direct with the words allow, allow, allow . . . and to exemplify the experience, I though to share an excerpt from Arrows of Time.
Drayco?
Here Maudi, by the entrance.
I can’t see anything.
You never could see well at night.
So it’s not just because I’m dead?
I don’t think so . . .
Rosette wanted to sigh. She felt the sensation, like an exhale, a wash of relief, but she had no physicality to perform the action—no way to express it. I don’t know how I’m going to get used to this, Drayco. This non-corporeal state.
It’s temporary, Maudi.
I hope so . . . She wanted to wrap her arms around her familiar and squeeze him tight until his tail lashed and she risked a swipe of his massive paw. She wanted to erupt into deep belly laughter and feel her heart pound against her breast bone. She wanted to cry, letting the well of emotion overflow from her eyes. She couldn’t do any of these things and the realization caught her head on.
I’m dead.
Maudi! Think of what you can do, not what you can’t.
For example? She knew her voice sounded sulky.
Think of the freedom.
Freedom?
Finally you can keep up with me.
There it was again, the desire to laugh. But she couldn’t laugh, or sigh or cough or smile, or touch or hug.
Find a reference, Maudi. A point of entry, her familiar suggested.
He was so practical. She loved that about him. An astrological reference? Like what sort of transit this might reflect?
Exactly. Drayco looked in her direction. I’m guessing Neptune?
She exclaimed but no sound came out. Of course! Perfect! Neptune transiting in opposition to my sun. That’s it. You’re brilliant. She felt her energy whirling about like a dust devil stirring up leaves. Neptune rules the sea, a place where there are no boundaries. In Neptune’s world all the sharp edges, the lines that distinguish one thing from another, are blurred. He’s the god of immersion, the god of dance and ecstasy, boundless love and union with the divine. The god of enchantments and also deceptions. She felt laughter welling up from some deep place of awareness. I know I’m meant to let go of attachments and identification with material ‘reality’ but this is a twist I didn’t count on.
An interesting one, don’t you think?
Very. Neptune makes sense. Everything is dissolving, melting away so I can see who and what I am without the props. Great goddess of the woods, I never thought of my body as extraneous. This gives me a new perspective on consciousness.
Indeed, me too . . .
To experience Neptune’s gifts, we have to dive into the sea and feel ‘life’ in a completely new way. No resistance. No pushing against. Where is Neptune transiting direct in your chart (at 0 Pisces – here’s a video tut)? What house? Aspects? Any revelations of consciousness there? Let us know in the comments!
Hah! We are going to the beach today – with family – my mother’s behest. Perfect timing. If Neptune is 0 degrees of Pisces at present that falls in the sixth house of my chart – which is most helpful. It’s most helpful because I am working with Jon Gabriel’s weight loss method. He delves into the reasons why one’s body wants to protect one by staying fat, and how to slowly work through the various stresses and fears in life that prevent one from losing weight easily and naturally. It’s like training your brain to think positively automatically – takes slow time and practice. Just before I sat down and read this I was thinking about the point in the week where I had felt different – where suddenly I found chocolate making me feel nauseous with it’s sweetness after just a couple of bits, where I was standing up straighter, and feeling relaxed and lovely – and then I had lost that again and was wondering why, what the points of change were and feeling a bit discouraged..but here we are…
Neptune – diving deep – inviting trusting the process, in just the right House for me at the right time – and going to the beach to cement the imagery – I love it! 😀
(I trust I’m doing this right – looking at where 0 degrees of Pisces is in relation to the Houses in my natal chart – and that’s what Neptune is activating now. Neptune in my natal chart is at 19degrees of Scorpio and in my 2nd House. – that would be a bigger theme than the current moment one of where Neptune is now – at least that’s how I understand it – please correct me if I’m wrong)
Yes, 0 Pisces is the point of TRANSITING Neptune so you find that degree in your natal chart. NATAL Neptune is a different story. Not necessarily a bigger theme (except for the Nov 13 eclipse being right on it) at least not for this process with the body, health and wellbeing. The Natal planets are part of your ‘map’. The transits are like beams of activation (metaphorically). They wake up what’s already there. Does that make sense?
Yes, thanks Kim. slowly learning more and more.
Wonderful. Thanks for posting about the process, and the Jon Gabriel. This is perfect for the long transit of Neptune through your 6th house. Learning to trust and let go of the old thoughts that shaped who we were in the past. Beautiful. How was the beach?
The beach was excellent, thank you. Just the kids – Jonty – my youngest and Keiran, my brother’s middle who is a lot younger – doing their damnedest to give my poor mother heart-failure with the way they were scrambling around the rocks! Boys will be boys and little boys try to follow bigger boys and bigger boys with Asperger’s syndrome don’t always have good judgement. when everyone else had gone, we took a walk the length of the beach at which point Jonty emphasised the Aspie lack of judgement by deciding to fill his fedora hat with sand and put it on his head….he’s almost eleven. I’d expect that from a three year old. Now about getting the sand out of his hair….:P
My natal Neptune at 0 Scorpio – 11th House…so love your writing, Kim – you offer the sensation of the experience and like sinking into Neptune, the safety of being carried. Exquisite! Thank you. xo
Thank you for that lovely response. Neptune often translates best through art, dance, story . . . expressions the rational mind can’t portray . . . I woke up from a dream this morning thinking of that scene, one of thousands I have written in over a million words . . . trust the unconscious to remember something so apt. 🙂
“So I can see who and what I am without the props’ What a tremendous realization…I too am going through Natal sun opposition transiting Neptune in the first house. I must be very, very, very clear on what I present to the world, but how to protect oneself from other’s projections?
I will let you know how it goes.
Wow. . . hopefully it’s not all so drastic as Rosette’s experience, though it did end up very well for her. I think Neptune is so deeply connected to the collective unconscious that we start to see the truth behind aham bramasmi. I am the universe and the universe is me. We start to see how every single expression of every being is a reflection, including ourselves. A kind of Plato world view with the added dissolving of the edifice of the ego. It’s enlightening, when we float downstream with it. Please do let us know as this unfolds. It’s brilliant for artistic explorations, that’s for sure.
Ah Neptune. Turn your gassy arse around and get a move on dude. Me and my 10th house sun/stellium have had just enough of your obfuscation. I’ll be over there in that sunny paddock listening to some music whilst you sort yourself out.
lol I love how playful this is. Did you get an answer? 🙂
Um, does getting inspired to get a new tatt count as an answer? Haven’t felt inclined to do that since, ohh maybe 1998 …
Interestingly though, the inspiration was more of a resolution to/reframing of a positioning issue I had generally thought of/described as career limiting.
Yes! Ink approached with reverence and ritual is one of our most powerful, and magical, ways of setting intentions. Life changing!
Yes, I’m pretty excited about it! And it’s reminding me of the joy in my earlier moments of tatt inspiration (I can visualise them) and then the planning, getting etc. Even very recently I thought that was all done with.
@ Shell……hahahahahahahaha…I’ll be dancing away from that gassy arse…:)
hahaha! As long as we are dancing, Neptune will smile 🙂
After just reviewing brief interpretations for the 12th house and the 1st house I must say I HAVE been thinking a lot about Neptune in Aquarius because back then I was feeling so motivated and “attuned” and capable of finding insight for every situation, mood, etc. and I’ve been wondering lately what’s become of my link to all that. As Neptune is at only about the tenth degree of my oversize first house I suppose I’m still dealing with the initial crappy-ness that comes with the first half of a transit…?
From an LOA perspective, I would frame it more, ‘ . . . the initial contrast of the first half of the transit.’ Whatever doesn’t feel right is a message that leads us to greater awareness, expansion and authenticity. Neptune in Aq for you sounded more Uranian, intellectual and insightful in an airy way. Now you are ready for the same kinds of shifts only these come from a deep well of intuition. It’s not articulated with language but through feelings of creativity, art, music, dance, dreams, poetic metaphor. We don’t touch this with the mind, therefore it can feel like a swirling void. The step is to cross over with another sort of vehicle, one driven by the Muse, the heart of compassion, the feeling of connection to all life. We can’t analyze it with the left brain. It is cloaked from those processes.
Hard to describe but in the first house you find ways to express yourself from a deeper source, that of infinite possibilities. So, not crappy per se, but utterly transformational!
I believe this is it for me: 19 Sextile Venus – Neptune
Her professional life is unstable. She has a taste for the Arts, is a dreamer, is easily influenced and romantic. She is emotional and very sensitive.
Romantic, creative, gentle, and adaptable, you naturally express the finer qualities of mysterious and dreamy Neptune in your love relationships. Your imagination is rich and your fantasy world well-developed. You are turned off by rudeness and crudeness, and are drawn to beauty in its many forms. You are very giving and generous, but may be a little on the submissive side, or sometimes downright lazy, failing to take the initiative when situations call for it. …. as it seems pretty accurate lol
So Jennifer, where is 0 degrees of Pisces in your natal chart? Let’s look at where Neptune is transiting right now.
In house IV, kim. and thank you 🙂
Highly appropriate passage for me, as Neptune is transiting opposite my sun right now..
And square my sun. I’m sure I needed a reread of that! Glad you could relate. 🙂
Oh you bet, Neptune’s one hell of a drug…
Oh so presently relevant Pluto is sitting on my natal Neptune right now too..yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh the viiiibes maaaaan hehehe
Hmmmm, in my third house: Teaching, learning, writing, talking, connecting. No clue as to what this might mean, so just going to allow, allow, allow and be open. Did get one message whilst somewhat lucid (no dream per se) last night about creating/joining a network, even a galactic one–and I had to laugh at galactic, i never use that word. LOL
lol I’ve been using that word a bit myself lately, Greg. To get a feel for Neptune in the third house, think about what I said to Rosie. The way you ‘think’ is changing and for Air signs that can feel like the ground is crumbling beneath us. But it’s not. It’s transforming, and the idea of creating and joining a network that transcends previous boundaries fits beautifully. 🙂
Neptune transiting the start of my 12th house. My dreams have been a bit more lucid lately and I’m generally feeling lighter somehow, have had a couple of insights re letting go of baggage since last week, not sure if that’s Neptune, but I like it…My sun is almost 0º Taurus (Aries 29º 57’55”) is that still in aspect to transiting Neptune?
Well, this certainly puts some things in perspective…
Neptune is transiting in my first house, less than 1.5 degrees from my aquarius ascendant. I had several days last week when I felt strange – a disconnect between who I am now and who I was several years ago.
Today, I went skydiving for the first time. To my total shock, I was not afraid, nor was I very nervous. In the air, I felt totally at peace – free, calm. Ironic that during the free fall, all I could taste was saltwater…
While the retrograde certainly brought about awareness in how I’ve been ‘dealing’ with problems lately, I think my Pisces soul is happy for Neptune to be direct again. 🙂
Ah – Neptune is also transitting directly opposite my own Mars Rx right now…
My natal Neptune is in 11D Scorpio pretty much in the middle of the 10th House. 0D Pisces Neptune of today falls right bang in the middle of my 2nd House, one degree off my Natal Chiron with some major aspects out of Mercury some 6D away. However, having done some MAJOR work on an emotional level over the past years, I do welcome some Peace of Mind! Money & Talent is also welcome, especially since I recently started my own home business …
