Hi Everyone,

So much is happening, I thought I better post an update here to cover it all.

screen-shot-2016-11-10-at-3-17-17-pm

My Good Vibe School of Astrology has opened on the new site, with new format, new courses and a lot more materials accessible for ‘open membership’ ie, free access. One new feature is that all Open Members have access to the GVA Essentials Astrology Course. It covers the basics of Signs, Planets, Houses and Aspects and how they relate to the Law of Attraction. Jump in whenever you feel the urge.

Also are insights into Mercury Rx New Year, where Mercury turns retrograde in Capricorn, in two days! There is a GVA talk on the subject, recorded last week, with example charts to get everyone up to speed.

Asteroid Icarus is also conjunct Pluto for the first time in 12 months. Check out how you can leverage this energy to release tolerations and free up creative energy on Icarus Edge.

kim_falconer_supernatural_underground

Over at the Supernatural Underground, I’ve just posted an article for writers and creatives called Writer’s Agony and Ecstasy. I shared a version of this earlier on AvaSykes.com and wanted to bring it on Sup, and here too.

The good news is, I’ve finished another novel. The other news is, finishing it dropped me into a well of grief.

It’s happened so regularly, this emotional plummet after achievement, a kind of post-completion depression, I decided to do a little research.

Turns out, it’s a thing.

I also added a Reviews Page to AvaSykes.com. If you have a review you want me to include, with a link to your blog/website/FB, let me know.

screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-10-47-18-am

I’m writing the Daily Astro Flash on FB if you haven’t seen it. I’ll put a link in the menu bar here too. It runs Monday – Saturday and is open to all. Your comments are always welcome.

Oh, and the dates aren’t set, or the seat numbers, but I am running a course in early 2017 on Karmic Astrology and the Law of Attraction. Details here. Shoot me an email if you are interested and want to reserve a seat.

Finally, I can’t release any details yet, but I will post this image and say, “Coming 2017, worldwide.”

amassia

Have a fabulous Holiday Season, everyone. I’ll be offering more updates around the solstice. If you have any questions or comments, fire away!

xxxKimmy

Icarus Balancing Magic

Tethered but Free by Crispin Korschen

Astro-LOA Flash: Asteroid 1566 Icarus conjuncts Venus and squares Mars (see ephemeris below) activating a cosmic dance between desire, love and adventure. It brings up a bit of a love-will-freedom-closeness contrast, which translates into A) relationship dramas or B) Self-discovery. Of course, it can be both!

Mars wants to take independent, willful, dynamic action. Venus wants to put her needs on the back burner to win love and connection. Icarus wants to inspire the heights of possibilities. Put the tree together and you have interesting times ahead.

Most likely you will find it impossible to put up with anything that irks.

This can manifest as a full realization of what you’ve been tolerating. (what holds you back) If you feel limited or restricted, watch the next week for a creative win/win. The impulse is to ‘fly free’ so let your spirit soar, while honoring your core values (Venus) and your desires (Mars). . Check decisions made in 2008. Where did they lead? Now YOU decide what to keep, what to toss, and what’s next!

The goal is to find the And/and, not Either/or. Love AND Will. Freedom AND Closeness. Tethered AND Free!

The Mythos: Icarus was Daedalus’s boy who, ignoring his father’s practical warning not to fly too close to the sun, lost his feathered wings, fell to the sea and drowned. Not a very successful outcome, though he did escape the prison tower they’d been stuck in. Some people associate Icarus with a kind of crash and burn mentality. Not me. I see it as freedom. Expansion. Liberation! What drowns is the old self, reabsorbed into the collective unconscious. What lives on is wiser, more inspired and ready for the next challenge.

True, this asteroid can represent some extreme measures, feelings and insights but mainly it represents an attempt to escape intolerable situations. It is the impulse to get out of limiting patterns or go for goals that others might say are impossible. Note: It doesn’t have to always end ‘badly’.

Icarus with Venus and Mars can be vivid inspiration. But trapped, he is like a wild bird caged. Ever had that feeling? It’s like an instinctual urge to run like hell when all they’ve said is, sign here, or pick you up at 7, or maybe I do . . .

Icarus with Mars especially is a chance to gain a deeper insight on the ‘flight’ side or our fight or flight response. Where do you feel like flying the coop? Is it fear, instinct or healthy self-awareness? Take a moment to think about it this week and eliminate a toleration or too. Why? Because tolerating something is not a virtue. It can be a heavy energy drain. (Read more about Granting Freedom from Tolerations.)

Screen Shot 2016-03-13 at 10.23.23 am

Here’s what Jeannette Maw has to say about it:

Toleration: To tolerate something means to “allow the existence of, to permit or endure or put up with something.” This implies that the something (or someone) is less than ideal and tends to drain a person’s energy. Thus, a toleration is often a hindering influence to the vibration. More . . .

Leverage the Icarus/Venus/Mars energy and Toss out Tolerations now!

If any of you know where Icarus is in your natal chart, feel free to mention it here.

Mine’s exact on my descendant putting me in an Icarus return!  Wowza!

xxxKimmy

NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN TIMES
LA – Saturday – 5:30 pm
NY – Saturday – 8:30 pm
LONDON – Sunday 1:30 am
SYDNEY – Sunday -12:30 pm

Astro-LOA Flash: It’s the last day of the dark moon before all is renewed, the perfect time to relax, find ease and focus on what you want for this moment. As you do, you open pathways to the future.

The first New Moon after the Solstice sets the tone for the entire year.

Remember you get to decide how your respond to everything that comes your way. Be it old family dynamics, new romantic interest, brilliant creative dream or a job/living situ that has to change, you set the stage by how you think of it.

With Mars just into powerhouse Scorpio, Mercury Rx in Capricorn, Jupiter on the North Node trine the new moon, and Venus just over Saturn in Sagittarius, energy is all fired up! Use New Moon to fuel your self-respect and ‘bigger perspective’. Appreciate every little thing, and everyone in your life. Relationships are your teachers right now. As Richard Idemon said:

Relationships are the mirrors held up to us by the gods.

Let’s gaze into those mirrors with reverence and respect.

NOTE: The New Moon in Capricorn is likely to be in the same natal house as transiting Mercury Rx. (that’s the area of life you are focused on right now). If you have one thought or feeling that isn’t serving you, use clear intentions to spot, sooth and release. Letting go of resistance is like lancing a wound. Relief, relief, relief!

As with all new moons, the setting clear intentions part is empowering. Jeannette Maw says that life follows our thoughts, so when we don’t get specific and deliberate with those thoughts, who knows where we’ll end up!

The power is in training our attention toward what we want, which we can do by setting the intention for it in advance.

Where are you training your attention today?

Sign by sign tips to help you gain full support from this dynamic New Moon.

CapricornCAPRICORN: This is your personal New Moon so take a moment to reflect on how your life is progressing. What goals are you setting? What have you obtained? Care to raise your sights? It’s ‘the sky’s the limit’ and I’m blasting through the glass ceiling time!

VenusRx

Updated hints by zodiac sign (sun and/or ascendant) for WHERE you want to tune into core values, re-image yourself and reflect on your personal, one-to-one relationships.

AriesARIES: Venus through your house of creative self expression is fabulous for artistic pursuits and child-like play. Pre-pave your true desires here. This is also a charming time for romance but with the retrograde, it’s likely things will flare from ex-current-ex, lukewarm to sizzling again. Wait until October to make a decisions. Children have an influence

TaurusTAURUS: This cycle is all about the home. Are you Queen/King of your castle? If not, why no? Take this time to get the home life correct. That means family as well as the physical dwelling. You might have a major re-evaluation of life style and location. Consider long; make major move after Oct 9 if possible. Parents will be of influence.

GeminiGEMINI: If you have a career in writing, teaching, studying or any form of the written/spoken word, this is your time to gain major accolades. Put your works in front of eyes that matter. Proposals could take yonks to hear back on but the results are potentially spectacular. Involve yourself with community. If ever a time to connect with siblings or cousins, it is now.

CancerCANCER: Venus in your financial sector says “shake your money maker.” Put yourself out there while you dream bigger than you ever have before. No more shyness before all things. Bold, bright and beautiful is your manta. Check into your core values. Make sure you are living yours to the max! aunts, uncles and financial advisers are of influence.

LeoLEO: This is your sun sign/Venus conjunction and it gives you double the charm, double the allure and ten fold the vivacity. Use this energy, especially on your own self development. Reconsider everything from wardrobe to walk, style to elocution. Your whole image gets a change up. Be MORE you. Be open to explore who your are for yourself, not others.

VirgoVIRGO: Your life force glows from the core of your heart to the outer reaches of the cosmos. People will notice the change. Compassion is amplified, and so is a hard to pinpoint charisma. This is where you give to the greater oneness of life, like a beneficent god/goddess of antiquity. And, follow your heart wherever it leads. Dreams and spirit guides abound.

LibraLIBRA: The life of the party, the charm and enchantment in any group, you shine among friends, center stage. Like truth serum, when it comes to your closest others, Venus reveals who is loyal and who has moved on. Expect some reshuffling where attachments are concerned. Amp hopes and wishes for the future! Friends are of most important influence.

ScorpioSCORPIO: Whatever you are manifesting on the career front, smile and it’s yours. Just take note, during the Rx cycle, you may discover that what you thought would make you happy doesn’t cut it anymore. Revisit your core values and trust guidance to pave the way to what you heart desires. Parents or authority figures/heroes are of strong influence.

SagittariusSAGITTARIUS: Expansion is your style and with Venus in your solar travel sector there’s plenty of potential for all levels – mind, body and spirit. As you ready for new horizons, think of sharing the adventure. Venus wants to partner and in Leo it will make the journey doubly sweet. An old flame resurfaces . . . perhaps? Think: Foreign affairs.

CapricornCAPRICORN: All work and no play will only piss Venus in Leo off, royally. You want to schedule in some fun around all the empire building. There’s a chance to rethink your approach to intimacy. It might change the way you view life. Be it tarot with a friend, deep and meaningful conversations or sizzling passion, doors open now. Intimacy with another has a profound effect.

AquariusAQUARIUS: Consider the power of pre-paving when it comes to all your personal, one-to-one socially significant relationships. You don’t want to let this opportunity go untouched. Get to the core of what you REALLY want when it comes to partnership, biz or pleasure. What unfolds now will enlighten you, if you let it. This is your time to connect. Don’t miss out!

piscesPISCES: Note: any issue with the body is a message that something isn’t quite right. You want to jump on this, not through “treatment” but by listening. What is it that you repress? Release that now, and put some love into your nutrition, exercise, work and magic. Creativity and passion bloom at the strangest times! And that time is now. New connections with animals, spirits creatures, or even your vet, dentist or health care professional are on!

Venus Embellished by Michael Parkes

Astro-LOA Flash: Venus enters the sign of Leo on June 5th, 11:32 am EDT. This ingress happens every year around this time but . . . where Venus usually transits for a month or so in each sign, this sojourn in Leo will last five full months, until October 9, 2015.

The retrograde zone is virtually active the whole time, from June 21 to October 9th.

Mercury Rx Shadow Zone from Cafe Astrology

Mercury Rx Shadow Zone from Cafe Astrology

For a quick refresher on the extraordinary synodic cycles of Venus, visit this short tutorial here that demonstrates the retrogrades and STAR patterns. It’s amazing!

What to expect with Venus in Leo?

Leo is a FIRE sign, positive, outgoing and FIXED in motion. Think fire of the heart, passion, creativity, courage and generosity. Venus here gets her flamboyance on. She love drama anyway but during this period, she’s bent on waking up everyone’s inner prima donna. If you have a creative outlet, excellent. If you don’t, find one. Now.

Venus has to do with our core values, what really carries weight and meaning in life. If you aren’t living yours, expressing them in your career, relationships, home, family, creativity, you’ll lose the ability to pretend things are ‘fine’. Especially during the retrograde period from July 25th to September 6th. The WILL is empowered and if you don’t have healthy, authentic outlets for your drives, rejected energy turns in on itself. In such an event, the body is likely going to cop it.

Leo rules the heart, upper back and with Venus reigning, the HAIR. ANY health issues at this time are messages from the body that things aren’t quite right. Get to the heart of whatever it is you are repressing and release, release, release. For help on Eliminating Tolerations, see the GoodVibeBlog.

Even though Retrograde, Venus in Leo has dignity, warmheartedness and compassion. Wherever this is happening in your chart (where you find the degrees of Leo) you can turn on your creative fire, your love and your charm! Yes, you’re going to re-evaluate EVERYTHING in this astrological house(s), but the results are always a more authentic you!

Hints by zodiac sign for WHERE you want to relax, rethink and restore.

Steamy August Stars

Diary of Discoveries by Vladimir Kush

The month of August begins in FIRE and WATER, which we know makes steam. There is a mix of creative enthusiasm, adventure and audacity (great for fueling ideas, goals and plans for the future) coupled with a pull toward introspection.

Find alignment by following paths that light you up, and taking time to reflect through meditation, journal writing and deeper conversations. Marry playfulness with receptivity.

On the 10th, the Full Moon in Aquarius brings a huge release of old energy. The T-Square with Saturn (old habits – new ambition) and applying Mars (urgency, action), along with the trine to Uranus (will to freedom) is a firecracker ready to light up the sky.

Use this by finding the objectivity of the Aquarius Moon (perspective) opposite the Sun (ego – creative purpose) and shed the thoughts, behaviors and patterns (people/jobs/beliefs) that no longer serve you. This month is perfect for releasing tolerations. Holding on to them, on the other hand, is going to sap your strength and stress your life. Jeanette Maw explains why:

I used to believe tolerance was a virtue, a trait to embrace. But it turns out a toleration isn’t necessarily good for your vibration. – Jeannette Maw

To tolerate something is to bear it, to put up with it, to ball and chain it to your life. Can you feel that vibration? The more we grit our teeth in toleration, the ‘worse’ things get. For us.

So how do you eliminate tolerations? Jeannette has quick tips (read the full article here):

1) identify tolerations – think through your physical environment, financial, relationships, personal health, body, creativity . . . where are you feeling stubbornness, jealousy, hard feelings, revenge, illness, obsession? Toleration generates these experiences.

2) make a list of your top ten ‘I have to put up with this‘ things. It might look like:

  • Hyper critical partner
  • Messy house mates
  • Boring job
  • Noisy neighbor . . .
  • No place to paint/write/sketch etc

Make your own list. Go for 10 to start.

3) release the tolerations, one by one.

How? Easy. Either :

1) eliminate them (break up, hire help, quit job, move house etc) OR
2) find a way to see the situation differently.

When you change your relationship to the tolerated thing so that it’s ‘no big deal’, in other words, when you take the charge off of it, it ceases to be an energy drain. Do this exercise before the full moon and as it comes into aspect, watch the tolerations lift. Your shoulders lighten and you breathe deeply again. Ahhhh . . .

On the 12th of August, Venus moves into Leo, putting three personal planets in this sign (Sun, Mercury, Venus) and the dazzling Jupiter. Where Leo resides in your chart is going to be party town and/or creative inspiration heaven, as long as you let go of those tolerations. If not, you’ll have a chance to see what they are doing to your energetic body, up close and personal.

If this does turn into crunch time, appreciate the front row seat on what isn’t in alignment with your core values. Remember, when we do something that aligns with one of our core values, we experience an infinite flow of energy. It feels like peace, abundance, joy. When we do something that is not an authentic value, we experience the opposite of bliss. Use the information of this week to identify where your alignment on and off kilter with your authentic self.

On the 15th Mercury goes into the home sign of Virgo along with the Sun on the 22nd. This shifts us into a little more of an EARTH vibe for the second half of the month. Practical activities, de-cluttering, sorting, ordering and examining and getting our hands into the earth, feeling the ground that supports us, and the sensuality of the body brings balance and peace. You’ll find a yoga practice, martial art, zumba, gym or swim routine, along with excellent eating habits and high levels of self care really support your alignment now.

New Moon on August 25th, at 2 Virgo, is going to be telling. The Mars/Saturn conjunction is spot on, pulling in Mercury sextile, Venus Square and Uranus inconjunct. Neptune is opposite this New Moon, offering a chance to glimpse infinite possibilities, if you have put in the reflection time, released tolerations and opened your mind to appreciating what is, right here, right now in this beautiful moment. From this place, you can set intentions for the up coming month of September, focusing on the core values of your Virgo house.

Summary:

A steamy month of contrast, which serves your higher expansion, August brings the chance to release anything that’s weighing you down and open your life up to new possibilities. Utilize this energy, especially in the second half of the month, to turn lemons into lemonade. Make it a collaborative adventure!

Where are the key features of this month highlighting your chart? The Mars/Saturn conjunction at 17 Scorpio? The lovely conjunctions in Leo trine Uranus in Aries? Full and new moons? Share in the comments as the month unfolds!

The Truth About Magic by James R. Eads (tarot cards)

The full moon in Capricorn is sextile ruling Saturn trine Chiron and amping up that good old grand Cardinal cross in the sky. What does that mean? Breathe, release, let go. There are solutions and pathways that lead you forward, but you won’t see them until you give the grudge match a boot. Stop gnawing old bones and shake yourself free. Step into to the high clean winds of release. Not sure where to apply this ‘drop the tolerations‘ energy? Tips below, signs by sign. If you want to take it further, focus on where this event is in your chart and practice total release of anger, resentment, frustration or disappointment in that area of life. Basically, catch and release your judgments, of self and others. Appreciate and release everything. It’ll change your life.

the keeper of secrets (oil on canvas) by Crispin Korschen

Astro-LOA Tip O’ the Month launches with Mercury Direct. Oh boy! Give the trickster planet a few days to get revved up before making big decisions, but you’ll feel an increased surety and focus right away. For major events and declarations, go for it with Mercury out of the ‘shadow zone’ – July 15th.

Between now and then, take into account your reflections, insights and understandings gained over the last three weeks. What have you learned from any delays, down time, or disruptions? Have eyes for the gifts!

On the 12th, Mercury is into Cancer again, bringing to light a situation or challenge from early June. Now it’s much more obvious how to proceed.

The Full moon at 20 Capricorn is a wonderful time to exhale, forget about all the plates you have spinning, and let go. You could drop a toleration or two, a grudge or a limiting belief. It’s like an elixir. Really!(Asteroid Icarus at 3 Capricorn, opposite Mercury and the Moon supports this toleration release!)

A wonderful ingress this month is on the 16th when Jupiter makes his once every 12 year sojourn into Leo. Think big heart, massive creative inspiration and full, magnanimous generosity. It’s playful and dramatic. You want to have fun with this for the next year! Check where Leo reigns in your natal chart for insights and a party plan. Jupiter boosts the spirits and instills confidence, an important component in any deliberate creations.

The power of the vibrations of confidence, commitment and belief . . . can turn dark horses into champions, long shots into heroes and underdogs into top dogs. –Jeannette Maw

On the 18th, Venus into Cancer turns passion into compassion. You’ll want to demonstrate your ‘caring’ core value in whatever area of life you have this sign. For example, 11th house is caring for friends, 7th house, nurturing committed/biz partnerships, 6th house, pets . . . where’s yours? On the 22nd, the Sun is into Leo, following the path pre-paved by Jupiter, and catching up on the 24th, a rocking day to expand your goals and explore new horizons. Whatever excites you today is a go!

Note: Changes of direction: July 20th sees Saturn turn Direct at 16 Scorpio. This is stabilizing, with increased ambition to accomplish what was started in November 2013. July 21 Uranus turns retrograde at 16 Aries and will journey ‘backwards’ until Dec 22, 2014. Uranus represents the urge to change and disrupt any ingrained, limiting habit patterns. The Rx period represents a more settled time where what we put in motion in March/April 2014 will start to show results. The rebel takes 5.

Mars is into Scorpio on the 25th where he will squares the Leo New Moon. The power to cut out old habit patterns that no longer serve, and to focus on a powerful, life changing intention is yours. Put your mind to it for incredible results.

Mercury, zipping forward now at supersonic speed, enters Leo, reactivating the recent energy of Jupiter into this sign. What you set in motion mid-month is going to blast off in August! Amazing!

Have a wonderful July!

Notes on Uranus – the Great Awakener

Awakening

Awakening by Maja Sommersted

I’m posting the notes for the Transform with Transits call here as a few people where having trouble downloading them. This is all basic info on Uranus, to get us started.

Think of Uranus as one of the most exciting planets to work with in deliberate creation as this is where we blast through glass ceilings and break out of limiting beliefs! It’s insanely powerful energy!

Uranus has an eccentric orbit between Saturn and Neptune, taking 84 years to make one complete journey around the sun (on complete journey through the Zodiac). He rules Aquarius and is exalted in Scorpio.

He spends 7 years in each sign (where we get the saying, “the 7 year itch,” and represents a desire for freedom, independence, individuation, originality, eccentricity, unconventionality, and the relentless breaking out of fixed cultural and social paradigms.

Basically, he’s a rebellion waiting to happen, and he doesn’t wait long.

He rules all things sudden, unexpected, erratic and unpredictable.

Being slow moving, the house position is very important as it will be more personal. The sign shows is nature of our individuality, our drive for uniqueness, and the way we break free of limitations and cultural restraints. The house shows where we experience unexpected changes and the chance to grow as an individual. It’s where things tend to get ‘weird’.

Uranus has a very extreme orbit, the tilt of the axis being so extreme (see image below) it alternates between periods of 21 years of night in the northern hemisphere (21 years of day in the south, with 21 years of more normal night and day (no doubt the model for George R R Martin’s world building in Game of Thrones) . . .  It’s all in the tilt of the axis.

The natal position of Uranus tells us where we can be “night and day”, individualistic, nonconforming, high-spirited and inventive (and sometimes radical, willful and detached). Aspects to Uranus bring these qualities out and you can imagine that the mix more harmoniously with, say Mars than they do with Moon or Venus.

By transit, Uranus Awakens. This energy coincides with changing the status quo, blasting us through glass ceilings, limitations and ruts. It’s a renewal and when we are open to change, its powerfully transformational.

It’s also powerfully transformational when we resist change, but the sensations are more of disruption that thrill. It’s all in how we perceive the energy! There is a fine line with Uranus between eccentric and unstable.

Note: If you want to see quickly were a client is feeling stuck, burdened or limited, note where Saturn is by transit. If you want to see where life is changing, throwing up radical new challenges, look to Uranus. Just spotting the houses these planets are transiting, and looking to the natal to see how comfortable they are with these containing and releasing energies can identify their biggest key to getting life on track. We build with Saturn, releasing old limitations/stories, and we awaken and evolve with Uranus, freeing up the past and setting new goals.

Remember: Uranus is the great awakener. Flow with the energy for the highest results!

Lunar Eclipse à la Rilke

‘Boundlessness in Bloom’ by Duh Huynh

The full moon @25 Libra is a total eclipse – the perfect time to let go of ‘tolerations’ and get a move on with your life.

The eclipse means the moon is conjunct the North Lunar Node and opposite the sun/South Node. Symbolically, it’s a time of culmination and release.

Expect some emotional cleansing, the ‘good for the soul’ kind. You might also find something you’ve been waiting for arrives – the news, the green light, the big opportunity, and if not, you understand where, how, when and why it’s time to regroup. Either way, it feel like progress is possible, and it is! The focus might well be on relationship. You could see the light in terms of how to live your connections in a more fulfilling-to-you way Hint: if you want to improve your relationships ‘out there’ in the world, improve your relationship to yourself. It all begins with you.

How can you best align with the energy of the eclipse?

First, release those ‘tolerations’. Here’s how Jeannette Maw describes them:

To tolerate something means to “allow the existence of, to permit or endure or put up with something.” This implies that the something (or someone) is less than ideal and tends to drain a person’s energy. Thus, a toleration is often a hindering influence to the vibration. More . . .

To recognize those toerlations, we need to feel everything; exclude nothing. Aries sun offers courage to do this and the Libra moon give balance and grace. Because the eclipse is along the Via Combusta, the fiery road, you have support for the release old grudges, out-worn ways of being and plans, goals and perceptions you’ve long surpassed. Bitterness, fear and resentment, you can kiss them goodbye too. The proximity to the ‘safe haven’ fixed stars of Spica at 23 Libra 50′ and Arcturus at 24 Libra 14′ will defuse and dissolve whatever you dredge up from the Via Combusta. Roll up your sleeves, and do the inner work. Whatever has kept you from your own growth and happiness is released, with conscious awareness and intention.

If ever there was a Rainer Maria Rilke Eclipse, this is it:

It is not inertia alone that is responsible for human relationships repeating themselves from case to case, indescribably monotonous and unrenewed: it is shyness before any sort of new, unforeseeable experience with which one does not think oneself able to cope. But only someone who is ready for everything, who excludes nothing, not even the most enigmatic, will live the relation to another as something alive.

Libra is about our personal, one-to-one socially significant relationships. Wherever Libra is in your chart, that’s where you want to share your Self, your life and your unique talents and gifts. Use this opportunity to tune in and see where you can open this door to a shared experiences, and also clean any closets or clutter found blocking the way.

FULL MOON Eclipse @25 LIBRA Apr 15
LA   – Tue – 12:43AM
NY   – Tue – 3:43 AM
LON – Tue – 8:43 AM
SYD – Tue – 5:43 PM

NOTE: The energy of the eclipse can be felt 30 days before, the time of, or 30 days after (give or take 3 days in each case). That means circle your calendar for (March 15), April 15 and May 15. Also, for those of us mature enough to recall, note what was happening April 15th 1995, the last time we had a Lunar Eclipse at 25 Libra. What was the energy like then? How did you align to it? Ideas?

AriesARIES: The eclipse highlights a contrast between career/creative goals and your love life giving you a chance to see things from a different perspective. Take time to consider all sides then make a choice that feels like the most challenging. After all, you are meant to have adventures!

TaurusTAURUS: There is an indulgent feeling in the air, a sweet song that lures you away from practical goals like sensible eating and a good night’s sleep. The eclipse in Libra will enchant you and then suddenly snap you back to ‘reality.’ Fortunately, a path once traveled is easily found again. Learn to walk both.

GeminiGEMINI: The Muse is awakened, called by the full moon eclipse in your house of creative self-expression. This is where you follow your heart’s desire be it a lover, work of art, manuscript or film. You’re officially clocked off! If it doesn’t start with ‘free spirited’, it’s not on the docket. Reconnect with your rapture.

CancerCANCER: The Lunar Eclipse in your home sector brings the urge to retreat, but not alone. You want those close to you gathered around. Easy done. Host a family dinner, have friends over for a film night, dance or ritual, organize a working bee. Take the initiative and bring loved ones together for a purpose.

LeoLEO: After weeks of crazy communications, this full moon is a time to clear up any lingering misunderstandings. Start first with yourself. What wires are crossed? What inner messages have you missed? Once sorted you go on to straighten out any kinks with friends and family. A simple, let’s start again will do.

VirgoVIRGO: Mars is still retrograde in your house of $$$ and talents, and after ruling Mercury Rx for weeks before that, you might feel like your spinning your wheels. Not so! To get your life on track, think of three things you want to do this year, set clear intentions to do them and roll up your sleeves. By mid May, the plan unfolds.

LibraLIBRA: This is your yearly full moon (eclipse), one that has you feeling intense, focused and a little overworked. Set the tempo for the rest of the year now by creating perfect balance between home/family, career/creativity, lovers and others and your own ‘me’ time. Think equal portions, clear intentions, easy done.

ScorpioSCORPIO: This eclipse is tagging 12th house of the unseen real, bringing up content from the unconscious like a dog digs up an old bone. It might help to remember that for the dog, that buried thing is a treasure! The key to sailing through this lunation is to relax, let go and allow. Notice your dreams. Glean the message and move on.

SagittariusSAGITTARIUS: The key words for the centaur are socialize, tantalize, realize. This is not a go it alone time. As you mix with like-minded others, the eclipse shines on your goals and wishes for the future. Are they current? On track? Still relevant? Take time to sort through, eliminating anything past its use-by-date.

CapricornCAPRICORN: The eclipse lights up your house of public relationship, reputation and career. There could be some limelight, or at least an interview or two. The key is to ‘create no response’, that is, pay no attention to any gossip or whispers. Your authenticity stands. Just acknowledge credit where credit is due.

AquariusAQUARIUS: This is an explorer’s eclipse for all Water-bearers, one that has you looking to distant horizons, speaking of sweeping events and notions and finding new paths to enlightenment. Under the cool rays of the moon you will see things from a fresh perspective. Think awareness, contemplations, assimilation.

piscesPISCES: The eclipse in your regeneration sector has you thinking intense thoughts and prepping to make life changing decisions. There is no rush. Actually, it serves you better to pace yourself this month, launching new plans after Mars goes direct on the 19th of May. Now is for composure and intimate connections. And inner peace.

Post in the comments where this eclipse is lighting up your chart. We’ll compare notes!

Happy New Moon Everyone.

xxxKim

My Friend Lester Tongue Heart, by Alexander Jansson

My Friend Lester Tongue Heart, by Alexander Jansson

Circumspection is your friend this month, along with ‘finding a better feeling thought’, seeing the bigger perspective and focusing on what is going right-for-you, not the opposite.

The key is to remember, good – bad, right – wrong, happy – sad, strong – weak are all ‘binary opposites’. In each is contained the other. The contrast of opposites is the spice of life! Without it, how would we even feel alive?

Now, with that intro, you all know what kind of energy is zapping around us this month, right? Everyone ready? It’s pretty exciting, like running an ‘obstacle’ course, or spending a month on ‘Survivor.’ You will be sweating and puffing and grunting and catharting! How cool is that? Holy moly, it’s good to be alive!

October begins with Sun (Self) square Pluto (underworld), Sun opposite Uranus (radical change, rebellion) and on the 4th, the New Moon in Libra (inner world of feelings) lining up to do the same. ANYTHING that you have turned a blind eye to, or have been tolerating, or is not in alignment with you, is going to make itself known. This is not a tickle from a magic feather. Um, no. Think big, strong, in your face ‘information’. Deal with it!

Your astro support is to check in on where the transiting Uranus at 10 Aries square Pluto at 9 Capricorn falls in your chart. Those houses and activated planets are where you do the inner, and outer work. It things are in a pinch, it’s because you are out of alignment with your authentic nature and core values. Fix it or fuq it. It’s that simple. Change what you can, and find a way to feel at peace with what you can’t. Done. AMP self-love to the MAX!

The 7th of October sees Venus into Sagittarius, a playful, exploratory, carefree vibe around relationships, artistry and money. It’s a breath of fresh air. Breathe! This week also has Mercury over Saturn in Scorpio, great for organizing projects, structuring thoughts and getting practical in your ‘Scorpio house(s)’. Along with that is Venus square Neptune, a kind of la la land enchantment. It’s perfect for some much deserved time off to immerse in love, beauty, artistry, chocolate. The imagination nurtures. Jupiter makes a showing this week too, which boosts confidence, a welcome vibe after some possible self-doubt.

October 15th, Mars goes into Virgo until early December. This is a ‘get your act together’ vibe where your inner warrior turns into a white tornado. Use it! Direct it! The Lunar Eclipse on the 18th is at 25 Aries/Libra. What a full moon! Jupiter touches it off, adding the audacity to release what isn’t working, embrace what is, or what will, and feel good about your choices, regardless of what’s scattered across the trail you’ve left behind. Best motto:  Release the Krakan, before he makes a meal of you!

October 21, Mercury turns Rx @ 18 Scorpio until November 10. There may be some backtracking on choices made, and that’s perfectly fine. The goal is self-reflection. You want to do plenty of it, especially in the area of life where you have Scorpio in your chart. Mercury will cross Saturn three times, so make that ‘serious self-reflection’. It leads to awareness, authenticity, and honoring of core values. It’s a gift if you slow down, rewind, re-think, reconsider, retrace you physical, emotional and spiritual steps. ie Plow forward blindly at your own risk! Also, sun into Scorpio on the 23rd!

End of the month sees the sun trine Neptune, a creative, blissful vibe. If you’re not glimpsing it, spend some time tuning in to what you really want. Your heart’s desire. As Jeannette Maw says, if you can imagine it, you can have it. Make that your mantra now!

GoodVibeAstroD52cR06bP01ZL-Hoover6b_mdmI’d love to stay in touch with everyone this month, so feel free to post your happenings in the comments, or over at the GoodVibeAastrology forum. We’ll be running two free calls, the roundtable on the 8th and a WTF is up right now on the 22nd.

Also at GVA, while mercury is Rx, all courses will be on sale. First up is Essential Astrology for Deliberate Creators. For many, studying your chart through the Mercury in Scorpio transit will be just the thing.

Happy October, everyone! xxxKim

Icarus and Tolerations

Icarus by Damon Deny

Astro-LOA Flash: Asteroid 1566 Icarus conjunct Pluto in Capricorn for the third time this year (see ephemeris below) harkens back to January and August 2012. This can manifest as a full realization of what you’ve been tolerating. (what holds you back) If you feel limited or restricted, watch the next few days for a creative ‘way out’. The impulse is to ‘fly free’ so let your spirit soar. Check decisions made in Jan/Aug. Where did they lead? Now YOU decide what’s next!

Icarus was Daedalus’s boy who, ignoring his father’s practical warning not to fly too close to the sun, lost his feathered wings, fell to the sea and drowned. Not a very successful outcome though he did escape the prison tower they’d been stuck in. Some people associate Icarus with a kind of crash and burn mentality. Not me. I see it as freedom. Expansion. Liberation!

True, this asteroid can represent some extreme measures, feelings and insights but mainly it represents an attempt to escape intolerable situations. It is the impulse to get out of unfair situations or go for liberating goals that others might say are impossible. Note: It doesn’t have to always end ‘badly’.

Icarus set free can be vivid inspiration. Trapped and he is like a wild bird caged. Ever had that feeling? It’s like an instinctual urge to run like hell when all they’ve said is, sign here, or pick you up at 7, or maybe I do . . .

Icarus with Pluto is a chance to gain a deeper insight on the ‘flight’ side or our fight or flight response. Where do you feel like flying the coop? Is it fear or instinct or healthy self-awareness? Take a moment to think about it today and eliminate a toleration or too. Why? Because tolerating something is not always a virtue. It can be a heavy energy drain. (Read more about Granting Freedom from Tolerations.)

More . . .

Leverage the Icarus/Pluto energy and Toss out Tolerations now!

If any of you know where Icarus is in your natal chart, feel free to mention it here. Mine’s exact on my descendant – the cusp of the house of relationship. Oh boy . . .

Have a great day!

From Swiss Ephemeris
